If you believe that life is too short for boring hair, you’re not alone. Lizzi of Lizzi’s Lox lives by these words, and she made a name for herself by making some of the most colorful wigs and hair extensions that you’ll ever come across.
Lizzi is based in Melbourne, Australia and she’s one of the hair experts responsible for putting unicorn hair on the map. She enjoyed coming up with different hairstyles from her teenage years and fell in love with colorful extensions during her “scene” phase in the early 2000s.
Due to a lack of resources, Lizzi started making her own hair extensions during this time, and later mastered the art of making equally colorful wigs.
“I loved having colorful hair and customizing my extensions to match. One day a friend told me I should do it for a job, so I did! I opened an Etsy store and started selling customized extensions in 2013. From there I received requests to make wigs,” Lizzi explains on her official website.
A few years down the line, she offers everything from wigs and extensions to styling tools on her website, and her Instagram pages @lizzisloxhair and @lizzislox are followed by around 200,000 people combined.
