We sometimes have to overcome our darkest days to find the light within. Holly Klaus learned that lesson first-hand while going through one of the most difficult periods of her life, but she managed to overcome the dark times by starting her own brand Sun Sprinkles.
According to Klaus’ Etsy page, her husband received a cancer diagnosis during the early years of their marriage. She just started designing products using polymer clay in their home in in rural Michigan, and this project helped her overcome one of the darkest moments of her life.
“Life’s clouds taught me to never waste precious time and to follow my passions… I learned to use my creativity to make my own sunshine. Sun Sprinkles earrings radiate with bold color, modern shapes, and unique designs,” she explains on her Etsy page.
Klaus quickly developed a very distinctive style, and her eccentric, upbeat, and one-of-a-kind designs became a huge hit thanks to their quirkiness and vibrant splash of colors. She’s best known as a jewelry maker, but we’ve seen her make everything from mugs and trinket boxes to vases and planters.
Sun Sprinkles’ products are available on the brand’s official website and Etsy page, but Klaus also struck a deal with dozens of retailers across the US, and her designs can be found everywhere from Michael’s Craft Stores to MakerX.
