Welsh Street Artist Paints a Mural of a Women From a Viral TikTok Video

Earlier this month, a video showing a woman lifted in the air by a shop shutter went viral on TikTok. The clip not only brought tons of laughs to internet users, but also inspired Welsh street artist Tee2Sugars for his new mural.

In footage captured by a security camera, a woman named Anne Hughes can be seen standing in front of the Best One convenience store in the Welsh village of Tonteg. Suddenly, the shop shutter begins to lift and takes Hughes in the air as her jacket gets stuck on it. The woman, who works as a cleaner in the shop, ends up dangling in the air for a few moments before a member of the staff rushes out of the store to help her out.

Hughes was fortunately unharmed, and the clip received more than two million views on TikTok.

After the video went viral, Tee2Sugars immortalized the scene on the same shutter that was responsible for the incident. According to the artist, Hughes liked the piece and was “good sport” about it.

“It’s not something that’s going to change her life but it’s a funny moment that’s going to be remembered for ever,” Tee2Sugars told British media outlet Guardian.
