Former Flight Attendant Finds Viral Fame With Her Home Decor Videos

Wendy Lau spent years working as a flight attendant, but life eventually took her in a completely different direction. After losing her job in the midst of the pandemic, she managed to find viral fame by sharing interior design tips and tricks on TikTok and Instagram.

Wendy Lau and her husband Kwan Chan moved into their four-bedroom house in Thornhill, Ontario in 2017 and quickly transformed it into their own slice of paradise. The couple started sharing their journey on their Instagram page @thekwendyhome, but it took a while before their posts gained traction.

Lau’s life turned upside down when she had to take a break from flying in 2020, and what started as a temporary leave quickly turned into a layoff. While looking for other streams of income, she turned to creating content and experienced a major confidence boost once she discovered TikTok.

“Out of boredom and part desperation, I threw myself onto a new platform, TikTok. From there, I seemed to have regained a spark and discovered a new medium that I quickly fell in love with. I explored videography and slowly developed my own style of storytelling,” she explains on her official website.

The Kwendy Home is now followed by over 400,000 people on both TikTok and Instagram, and their posts will inspire you to transform your home into a cozy oasis.
