Haylee Morice Wants to Evoke Your Deepest Feelings with Her Whimsical Illustrations

Haylee Morice fell in love with art as a teen, and her evolution as an artist was a joy to watch. Her illustrations became a huge hit online thanks to their cozy feel, and she has a special talent for evoking our deepest feelings through her art.

Morice started drawing at an early age, and it became a daily habit during her teenage years. She eventually decided this should be her full-time job and went on to get a bachelor’s degree in Art and Visual Communication from Utah Valley University back in 2017.

She fell in love with putting things from her imagination down on paper, and she’s looking forward to seeing how her style will evolve in the years and decades to come.

“I started drawing when I was 13 because I wanted to draw all my favorite book characters… Nowadays, I make personal artwork meant to evoke a feeling. I like to use art to learn more about myself and let it be a mirror for others who see themselves in the work as well,” Morice explains on her official website.

She mostly uses Procreate on her iPad to bring her digital illustrations to life, but she’s also no stranger to traditional art. Her style was supposed to look both graphic and illustrative, evoking dream-like environments that have the power to take us to another world.
