Klum took a two-year-long break from hosting her iconic Halloween celebration and she decided to go big with her comeback party. She always had a soft spot for outlandish costumes that put an accent on creativity, instead of simply trying to look good, and her worm costume is case in point.
“I like to do something unexpected, so I tried to think of a costume that is super absurd, but also very familiar. Because it is Halloween, you need the creepy factor, also a bit gross and disgusting,” Klum told Vogue.
The model’s costume seems to be inspired by the viral “would you still love me if I was a worm?’ meme. Klum’s husband Tom Kaulitz appeared by her side dressed as a fisherman, so the answer seems to be “yes”.
We’ve seen her dress up as everyone from Jessica Rabbit to Princess Fiona from Shrek over the years, but her costume this year took things to new heights. Most people found it quite bizarre, while others praised Klum’s commitment and originality.
