Hello Happy Plants Creates Dream Homes For Your Plants

Kelsey Ryder, the Orlando based artist of Hello Happy Plants, makes hand-molded and hand-painted cement homes for your plants. Inspired by everyday items like thank you bags, chips bags, and soda cans, she makes them into cement molds and then hand casts and hand paints them.

After working at Home Depot and hating every second of it, Ryder tried out every activity that made her happy and tried to make money from it. She soon found that she was able to make money from the plants she was growing and the planters she thrifted, and that’s when Hello Happy Plants was born. She credits her friend Francesca for teaching her how to create cement molds and changing her life, and since then she’s been making molds from anything she can find that inspires her. In addition to planters, she creates t-shirts and has been trying out new designs.

When creating new pieces the most important thing to her is “the sentimental value they hold for people. I can’t count the number of stories I’ve received or comments on my posts that I’ve read of people tagging or buying a planter for their friend that’s some sort of inside joke between them or something special that reminds them of each other,” she told the UO Blog.

You’ll want to give your plants a home in these planters. Check them out below.
