Jynae Bergeron is Using Reclaimed Wood to Craft Nature-Inspired Pyrography Art

We don’t see many artists specializing in pyrography, aka woodburning these days, but Jynae Bergeron is trying to put this art form on the map. She specializes in making amazing nature-inspired pyrography art, using reclaimed wood to bring her creations to life.

Bergeron fell in love with this art form at a young age and wood art is pretty much a part of her DNA. Both her father and grandfather were talented woodworkers, and she used their old tools to hone her skills as a pyrography artist.

It’s not a coincidence that Bergeron works exclusively with reclaimed wood. By opting for this material, she wanted to minimize my impact on old-growth forests and give old trees another chance to be admired, instead of ending up in a landfill.

“Through wood burning I create representations of a diverse selection of animals, plants, and landscapes to capture their beauty and instill a feeling of motivation among humans to conserve and protect their prolonged existence,” explains Bergeron on her official website.

Bergeron’s art is entirely inspired by nature, from the materials she uses to the subjects she explores. She usually tries to capture the beauty of different animals, plants, and landscapes through her art, in the hope she’ll inspire people to conserve and protect their prolonged existence.
