Kami Studios’ Jewelry is Love Letter to Our Favorite Fruits

Jewelry can take many different shapes and forms, and Sophie Reshetnak decided to use her creations to honor things she holds close to her heart. She’s the founder of Kami Studios, and many of her wearable works of art take the shape of the most delicious fruits.

Reshetnak was born in Siberia, but she grew up in the countryside of the UK, where her small business is now based. She started making jewelry while looking for a creative outlet while working from home, and her hobby eventually grew into a successful jewelry brand that she’s running with the help of her husband.

Reshetnak opted for the name Kami as a way of honoring the Japanese Shinto gods of nature because many of her creations are inspired by wildlife and flora.

“Each of my jewelry pieces tells a story of plant, mythology, and folklore, and is intricately handmade in the hopes of bringing you closer to nature. My passion for history and botany helps me infuse each item with ancient meaning, magic, and mystery,” she wrote on her official website.

Food is also a major source of inspiration for this talented artist, and many of her earrings take the shape of a wide range of juicy fruits. They’re crafted entirely of beads and celebrate a wide range of different fruits, including bananas, kiwi, dragon fruit, papayas, figs, and everything in between.
