Laura Whaley is Hilariously Capturing the Ups and Downs of Working From Home

Working from home became a new normal for many people in the past few years, including Laura Whaley. She tried to find some humor in it and became a viral sensation once she started sharing hilarious clips that capture the ups and downs of working from home.

Before becoming a social media superstar, with 2.9 million followers on TikTok and 1.9 million more on Instagram, Whaley was an IT consultant in her late twenties. Once Zoom meetings and countless emails became her new reality, Whaley decided to laugh her way through frustration and started sharing hilarious work-related videos with the world.

Her “How do you say professionally?” clips became an especially big hit, and they were inspired by her strange ability to translate the most obscure things that go through her mind into and make them sound corporate, professional, and a little passive-aggressive.

“That’s how this idea was born. I wanted it to be funny and relatable about what people want to say if they could be honest, and actually get value out of the videos,” she told The Globe and Mail.

Her viral videos cover pretty much every aspect of corporate life, and some of them are hilarious and educational at the same time, helping you navigate your desk job with ease.
