Lilo Klinkenberg is Creating the Most Extravagant Floral Displays

We’ve seen many artists put nature front and center in their work, but Lilo Klinkenberg is taking things to a whole new level. The founder of Studio Lilo is filling large spaces with her show-stopping displays, made with flowers, bushes, trees, and everything in between.

Klinkenberg grew up in Berlin’s vibrant neighborhood of Kreuzberg, and she’s always been surrounded by art from every corner. She went on to study at the Universität der Künste, where she earned a degree in fashion design, but life took her in a different direction once she decided to take a more conceptual, multidisciplinary approach to her art.

“In a nutshell, I create atmosphere, which has everything to do with my ability to see the big picture. Be it people or spaces, I work on capturing their essence and producing the desired ambiance to help my clients turn fleeting moments into lasting impressions,” she explained on her official website.

Klinkenberg now describes herself as a spatial artist who primarily works with flora, such as trees, flowers, bushes, and mounds of moss. She spends her days looking for these raw materials and then using them to create her sculptural, avant-garde creations, either for her installations or for corporate events and weddings.
