Makeup art truly evolved over the course of the past decades, largely thanks to innovative makeup artists who aren’t scared to break all the rules to create something extraordinary. Lucia Perešová is one of them and she’s constantly pushing boundaries with her surreal makeup art.
Perešová runs a successful Instagram page @geminiblush and she attracted 175,000 followers so far. She’s always been a huge fan of art, and makeup gave her a new medium to explore it, taking it from paper to the real world and using her face as a canvas.
Nothing is off limits for Perešová, and she doesn’t mind creating feminine makeup looks with lively colors and pretty flowers, but she’s more interested in makeup art with a surreal vibe.
“Sometimes it’s fun to transform it into something completely alien. I love surrealism and the concept of taking something familiar and tweaking it so the familiarity stays, but the object itself doesn’t make sense or looks like it’s actively breaking every possible law of physics,” Perešová told Coeval Magazine.
Perešová lets the inspiration come to her and we’ve seen her create makeup looks inspired by everything from famous works of art to nature, space, animals, and everyday objects. She’s constantly keeping us on our toes and it’s always a blast to see what she’ll come up with next.
