Madriguera Uses Minimalism To Create The Cutest Ceramics

Madriguera Workshop is a studio that makes “handmade ceramic for a contemporary lifestyle,” as their Instagram page description reads. It’s located in Galicia, Spain, and it’s the birthplace of some of the cutest minimal ceramic sculptures we’ve ever seen.

Run by Lydia de la PiƱera and Luis Llamas, the studio specializes in anthropomorphized clay pieces that get turned into pots, cups, plates, and much more. They plant succulents and other plants in some of them, which only makes them more beautiful.

Their goal is to create functional and creative pieces that can be used in everyday life. Their products are designed to be durable so that they’ll last you for many years, adding a nice touch to your home no matter which design style you prefer.

“The process is entirely handcrafted. Some pieces are made by potterā€™s wheel in different stoneware clays, other pieces are reproduced by plaster molds,” the creative couple behind Madriguera writes on their website. One of their designs, the face tray, recently became a finalist at the 2020 Etsy Design Awards. If you’d like to get your own, visit their shop!
