You will see most people nowadays heading to the city. But not TikTok user Always Kenny. He wanted to get away from the city as much as possible, so he decided to live in a dome he built in the middle of a desert.
Always Kenny, now better known as “The Dome Guy,” started this intriguing project as a result of a joke among friends. He decided to see if he could build himself a home in the desert while documenting the process on TikTok.
The first clip, showing him digging a hole in the ground, got more than 40 million views and prompted him to continue sharing the progress.
After the hole was prepared, Always Kenny set up his dome.
The TikToker proceeded to turn the dome into a proper home, setting up the electricity, furnishing the place, and getting comfy.
“Weirdly enough, I came out here and fell in love with this place, dug a hole, and put a dome in it, and the rest is history. It’s still being written,” said Kenny about the project in a chat with Teslarati.
According to Kenny, there are lots of issues that come with living in a dome in the middle of a desert, like scorpions and heat, but he is learning how to deal with them in his own way. And while doing that, he is entertaining millions of social media users.
