Man Teaches His Puppy How to Give Hugs, Now He Gets Tackled All The Time

Brian Hanshaft had the best intention in mind when he taught his Alaskan Malamute puppy Hugo to give him hugs. It was another way for the two of them to connect and develop a deeper bond. But he didn’t know Hugo’s hugging would cause him to spend a lot of time on the ground.

As Hugo got older, he got bigger and he now weighs almost 85 pounds. This means that his hugs pack a powerful punch, especially as he loves to give them at full sprint. They almost always end up with Hanshaft being tackled as videos on Hugo’s hugely popular TikTok account @hugothemalamute show.

It goes without saying that Hanshaft would not change anything about his decision. While he always needs to dust himself after a hug with Hugo, Hanshaft recently told The Dodo that the dog tries to do it as gently as it can. Hugo even tucks his pawns in when he tackles so he wouldn’t scratch his dad.

Hanshaft clearly likes sharing these amazing “hugs” with Hugo since they are featured in countless clips on @hugothemalamute. But no matter how many times you see them, they are always a terrific watch. Continue scrolling to see more of Hugo’s hugs/tackles on his owner.
