Marloes De Vries is Spreading Kindness with Her Illustrations

No matter how many people we follow on Instagram, one thing our feeds always seem to be missing is a tiny bit of kindness. If you want to make your experience on social media more positive and uplifting, it’s time to start following Marloes De Vries.

The British illustrator knew she wanted to have a creative career since the age of four, and followed her dream by attending art school. After graduating in visual communication, she worked as a graphic designer, art director, and photographer for several years, before deciding to become an illustrator full-time.

Ten years after making this life-altering decision, she found huge success in this field and now has 130,000 Instagram followers and a long list of high-profile clients under her belt. De Vries’s main goal is to tell stories with her drawings, and she usually manages to make them truly heartwarming, empowering, and uplifting.

“I try to use as few lines as possible because I want to get a story across clearly, and I don’t want to clutter it. It’s soft-colored, gentle, and accessible I think, with humor too,” De Vries told Creative Boom.
