Ohio Teenager Amazes the Internet With His Medieval Prom Proposal

One teenager from Ohio named Gavin Gallig recently got the internet buzzing thanks to the super-creative way in which he asked his girlfriend Gianna Masterlasco to the prom. Gallig put on a medieval-themed show that not only got him a “Yes” but also made him a social media star after the video of the proposal went viral.

The clip shows Masterlasco opening the door to find a boy in medieval costume standing in the front yard. The kid starts playing the trumpet, after which Gallig, dressed as a prince, and two of his friends arrive on horse sticks.

One of Gallig’s friends, acting as a crier, steps forward with a huge scroll and starts delivering the message:

“Hear ye, hear ye! Sir Gavin Gallig – son of Sir Trevor Gallig, first of his name, destroyer of porcelain, tamer of the beast Chewbacca, slayer of bugs, and a scourge to all things that smell nice and clean – cordially invites you, Miss Gianna Masterlasco, to the Royal Gala filled with fun fellowship, and fellow acquaintances on 6 May, 2023, in the year of our Lord. What is your response, Madam?”

After Masterlasco gives a resounding “Yes,” she is fitted with a crown before Gallig and the rest of his party “ride off” on his horse sticks.

Masterlasco’s dad, who recorded the entire thing, later shared more details about the proposal with Newsflare.

“Got a text to open the front door and was not expecting this. They had one rehearsal and decided to just go for it,” Mr. Masterlasco said while adding that the crier actually didn’t have a script to read from and gave the entire speech from his head.
