One Line Fever is Creating Minimalist Illustrations of Iconic Fictional Characters

Many illustrators on Instagram opted for a minimalist approach to this art form, but the masterminds behind One Line Fever are taking things to a whole new level. They’re making simple, yet instantly recognizable portraits of the iconic fictional characters using a single unbreakable line.

One Line Fever is the brainchild of the French creative studio Loooop. This studio was founded by two French artists Stephane and Emma, who decided to specialize in one-line art, relying on its simplicity to tell complex stories.

“We are living in an era of visual abundance and every day we’re overwhelmed by more details, more colors, and more everything… We chose the opposite: our passion is to design subjects in the simplest form of art, a single unbroken line,” they told Bored Panda.

Since the brand’s inception in 2015, they’ve collaborated with many major brands, from Google to Nike, but they eventually caught our eye with their incredibly simple portraits of our favorite fictional characters.

According to Loooop’s co-founder Stephen, it can take several hours or days to come up with a single drawing, even though the final result looks quite simple.

From Homer Simpson and Pink Panther to Iron Man and Batman, they mostly focus on characters that are so easily recognizable that one line is enough to draw them.
