Paper art can be stunning in its simplicity, and that’s best shown in Héloïse Bossard cut-outs. She creates beautiful pieces by cutting paper, among which is the one inspired by The Great Wave Off Kanagawa by Hokusai.

“Always in love with paper, it was on her return to France after two years spent in Japan that Heloise Bossard decided to create Au Détour du Papier,” her website reads (translated from French). Once an architect, she decided to switch to a precision scalpel as her main tool as she explored Kirigami, the Japanese art of cutting paper.
Bossard is mainly inspired by nature and art. She creates all her works by hand in her workshop located in Paris. This results in unique pieces, and you can see some of them below.
