Paris-Based Street Artist Paints Intricate Childhood-Inspired Murals All Over the World

If the name Julien Malland doesn’t sound familiar to you, we don’t blame you. However, you might be familiar with his pseudonym Seth Globepainter, under which he creates intricate and thought-provoking murals all over the world.

The works of this street artist, who is based in Paris, France, are inspired by childhood innocence and represent a stark contrast to the chaotic urban environment they are set in. The subjects of the murals are depicted as playful and imaginative souls unaware of the problems in the world that surround them.

“The child becomes a spokesperson, a messenger of his investigations,” the artist’s official website explains. “He puts into play his image of innocence and places his character in difficult social, political, and geographical contexts.”

Malland has been an active participant in the Parisian street art scene since the ‘90s but recently decided to travel the world and bring his art to other parts of the globe. He has been traveling for years, meeting new cultures, exchanging ideas with other artists, and leaving his unique murals on the blank walls of cities like New York City (U.S.), Amman (Jordan), Natal (Brazil), Montreal (Canada), and many others.
