How many times have you heard a musician playing on the streets only to be shocked at how talented they are? Those who’ve had the opportunity to listen to Borja Catanesi doing magic with his electric guitar have experienced all that and more. The Valencia-born artist has been playing on European street corners for three years now and people can’t get enough!
He started his musical journey at an early age by playing the piano, only to later discover his love for the guitar at 15. First, he experimented by becoming a member of various groups and bands, but two years later he hit the road and discovered his true passion for street performing.
“Street art is from everyone and for everyone! It adds something to the city and fills the streets with joy and happiness,” he shared on his website. He then added that he created his merchandise to support street art.
Currently, the young artist is working on his first album. As he explains, he gets very excited just thinking about it. On this project, he’ll be recording funk, reggae, blues, and rock n roll—all while playing the guitar, the bass, beatbox, and piano.
