Peter Szucsy Resurrects Vintage Objects Into Intriguing Steampunk Figurines

For almost 25 years, Hungarian artist Peter Szucsy worked as an art director in the video game industry. This included creating intricate virtual worlds filled with fascinating characters, fantasy creatures, and scary monsters.

But a few years ago, Szucsy decided to move away from the virtual world for a bit and bring his creative vision to real life. Using vintage objects like watches, cameras, and accessories, he started making intriguing steampunk figurines that captivate with attention to detail and craftsmanship execution.

“I felt it is about time to create something different,” says Szucsy on his website. “So I left my computer and made lots of my ideas come alive in the real world.”

Szucsy’s creative process includes visiting flea markets and antique shops every week to find the material for his pieces. He then returns to his studio in Budapest, where he meticulously disassembles the objects and then resurrects them into mesmerizing small sculptures.
