Pokemon is one of the most recognizable pop-culture franchises in the world. No matter the age or location, almost everyone knows at least a few Pokemon monsters and can recognize Pikachu on the spot. Many of us even watched the show, saw the movies, or collected Pokemon cards going up.
Inspired by these cute characters, freelance artist Chey decided to start an interesting project which sees her creating humanized versions of Pokemons. She takes the defining traits of a Pokemon as a starting point and then lets her creativity guide her through the rest of the process.
The outcome is pretty fascinating, as you get the feeling that “Poke-humans” Chey creates could really be the embodiment of the creatures they are based on.
