Russian Artist Creates Animals and Other Shapes Using Common Objects

Russian-born and London-based artist Helga Stentzel creates animals and many other shapes using nothing but common household items. “She works across a wide range of media including illustration, photography, video, and stop motion animation,” her website reads.

It takes a lot of talent to do something that ultimately looks simple, as if anybody could’ve done it, but it’s not so obvious before it’s actually done. We had so much fun browsing through Stentzel’s work and we hope you will feel the same!

Her household surrealism work is truly incredible. She’s skilled in making animals from laundry and giving common items like sinks and washing machines new character. Stentzel’s creative work brought her 150,000 Instagram followers who enjoy getting daily updates from her.

“Beware of lettuce dogs and singing avocados,” she writes on Instagram. These are just some of the things you can see on her page, which each piece being wonderfully unique and truly brilliant. Our favorite has to be the cow made of laundry, but it’s not easy to choose.
