She Wonders Abroad: Hungarian Woman Leaves Everything Behind to Become Full-Time Traveler

Becoming a full-time traveler requires a lot of courage and sacrifice, and Krisztina Harsányi experienced it all first-hand. She went through many ups and downs on her journey before deciding to quit her corporate job and fully dedicated herself to her blog She Wanders Abroad.

Unlike most travel bloggers, Harsányi didn’t fall in love with travel at a young age. She grew up in a little Hungarian town and didn’t even fly on a plane until she was 23 years old. It all changed after she finished university and decided to move to Budapest, from where she was able to travel a few times a year, mainly to nearby European destinations.

Harsányi’s first intercontinental trip took her to New York City and made her believe in herself a little bit more. After years of doing corporate jobs, she decided to explore her creative side by starting a travel blog.

“When I started to travel it unlocked a fully unknown part of me: I started to feel passionate about exploring new places, taking photos, editing them, and soon enough I discovered I also enjoy sharing them with the rest of the world,” Harsányi writes on her blog.

She kept traveling and blogging while working a full-time job but decided to quit after experiencing severe burnout. She’s been on the road ever since and she currently has over 140,000 Instagram followers.
