Mohamed Halawany is one of Instagram’s most versatile digital artists and we’re constantly wowed by his amazing creations. In one of his most popular series, this Egyptian artist is crafting amazing illustrations that show our favorite movie characters covered in gold.
Halawany is an art director, producer & co-founder of 7pictures, and he’s constantly living us in awe with his creations. He attracted over 40,000 followers to his Instagram page @halawany.m, where he shares his impressive 3D illustrations, and the series called “Gold Portraits” is turning out to be his best one yet.
He mostly focuses on crafting hyperrealistic illustrations of popular pop culture characters that we all know and love. They all look like they’re covered in gold, and he used such tools as Cinema4d and Octane render to give his works of art this amazing effect.
Halawany’s golden portraits are mostly inspired by iconic Disney characters, such as Mickey Mouse and Goofy, in addition to Disney princesses and Star Wars and Marvel characters. They also pay homage to such pop culture icons as Winnie-the-Pooh, Scooby-Doo, Homer Simpson, Batman, and Superman.
