Sir Charles Barkley lives in Seattle, Washington with his owners Melissa and Paul Canda. They wanted to adopt a smaller dog and decided to go with a French Bulldog because they always loved their friendly nature. Barkley was the smallest pup in his litter, so they decided to welcome him into their home.
Like most dog owners, the Candas couldn’t resist taking photos of their adorable pup. Their friends and family wanted to see him every day, but they didn’t want to overflow their feed so they decided to start a separate account for Barkley.
“It was first started as a place to post pics to show our family and friends without overloading their own Instagram accounts. We never expected to gain so many new friends but am so grateful that I get to share my world with them every day as they share theirs with me!” reads his official website.
In years to come, Barkley became a true Instagram sensation, with over 400,000 followers, and collaborated with many brands, in addition to having his own line of merchandise.
