Max is a nine-year-old golden retriever who recreates Madonna’s most iconic album covers. The idea was born one year ago by the pup’s owner Vincent, a big fan of the “Queen of Pop”. The Instagram page, where Vincent posts all the images, has received more than 15,000 followers.

“I am a big fan of Madonna. These pictures I am doing with Max are tributes to artists that I love and respect. It is a break between my commercial work that is bringing me to the simple pleasure of pure creation, love, and happiness,” Max’s owner said in an interview for Bored Panda.

However, putting on costumes, hats, and wigs can be tiring for the dog. But the owner found a way to make it easy.

“Everything is like a game for him, so yes, for example, if he needs a hat for a picture, I buy it weeks before and we play with it like if it is one of his pet toys. And so it is ‘normal’ and fun for him when we shoot for real weeks later,” he added.

His pup is his number one priority, and although the owner enjoys playing dressing up, he would never force anything on him. Scroll down and check out the images below.

Animals are truly wonderful living beings, and are actually not so different from us humans. They might not be able to communicate verbally in the same way that we do, but the avenues of communication are nevertheless up and running. When it comes to music, some animals feel its impact quite strongly.

This was proved when a musician named Paul Barton who lives in Thailand performed Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata” beautifully for an aging elephant named Mongkol. You can see the performance in the video below.

Mongkol is an elderly elephant who was rescued from captivity, after being used for hauling trees due to his size and strength. This is not an uncommon destiny for elephants, but fortunately, he was able to escape that life. He’s a gentle soul who enjoys beautiful things, and if this video is any indication, that includes piano performances!

“Beethoven’s slow movement from Pathetique Sonata by River Kwai for Mongkol, a Bull Rescue elephant that lives at Elephants World in Thailand,” the video description reads.

We love discovering people who do all kinds of creative things. One guy from Finland, who runs the Youtube channel Device Orchestra, has now programmed a toaster, a typewriter, and two toothbrushes to perform The Imperial March, a Star Wars theme.

To make things more fun, he equipped all the devices with googly eyes. He also put a pair of eyes on the toast and small Lightsabers on the toothbrushes for complete effect.

“I used a microcontroller and a rubber band to control the electromagnet inside the toaster to move the bread slot up and down. By turning the magnetic field on and off at the frequency of each note I can create up-and-down movements of which by-product is a melody,” he wrote in the video description.

The video begins with him explaining how he programmed the devices, and it’s super interesting if you’re into that kind of thing. There are many ways to artistically express yourself, and it’s fair to say that this guy has certainly made his unique stamp on the world!

After all, it’s made of Trench, a man, and his drummer, a dog. While Trench is hidden and Maple, is not actually playing the drums, the result couldn’t be any more wholesome. Trust us on that.

“I never wanted to be famous so I prefer for the focus to be on the music, the instrument,” writes Trench on his website. Maple, on the other hand, a mixed breed with part Border Collie, Golden Retriever, and Shetland Sheepdog,is front and center.

“I started with an electric guitar when I was about 8, but I didn’t take the instrument that seriously until I was 12-13 when I bought an acoustic guitar,” explains Trench. “Aside from a few basic guitar/piano lessons, I’m self taught with all the instruments I play. I learned to read sheet music and would spend hours every day sight reading anything I could find online. Learning a lot of classical/flamenco music helped develop my Fingerstyle guitar techniques.”

His instruments now include the Acoustic, Electric and Classical Guitar, as well as Harp, Piano, Drums, Harmonica, Accordion, Banjo, Ukulele, Mandolin, Glockenspiel, Kalimba, Violin, and Cello. But enough babbling… let the music do the talking.

Hurdy-gurdy is a string instrument that makes a sound when you turn its wheel that rubs against the strings. The sound it makes is similar to the sound produced on a violin.

“This is a cover of the song Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics,” the musician wrote in the video description. “This instrument is called “hurdy gurdy” and has its roots in the medieval times. It works like a mechanical violin with a wheel bow, that can play bass, melody and rhythm all at once.”

If you’re into this type of music, be sure to discover more of Patty Gurdy’s work on her YouTube channel. Share the video on your social media and subscribe to her channel if you want to support her and help her create more similar music!

William Sun Petrus is a music producer who turned an old 1920s Remington typewriter into an electronic drum machine. The typewriter keys trigger a MIDI controller and the sound comes out of the Ableton music mixing software.

“I’ve been getting questions as to why I didn’t use the “real audio” and there’s generally a lot of skepticism,” Petrus wrote in the video description. “This is why I crossfade from the camera audio to the audio output from Ableton.” His intention was to create an entertainment piece so people can enjoy the songs and visuals.

Humor got us through many rough situations and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t use it now when the whole world is affected by the coronavirus outbreak. After all, it’s creativity and laughing that can help us get through this difficult time and we want to resort to it whenever we have a chance.

One of the people who made us laugh recently is musician Daniel Matarrazo with his parodies of famous songs. The first one he published is titled “Super Bad Transmittable Contagious Awful Virus” and it’s a parody of Mary Poppins tune “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. The other one is called “Just Stay Inside” and he signs it to the tune of “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid.

You can watch both of them below.

Have you ever wondered what your favorite song may look like? Designer Alex Szabo-Haslam has the answer. This talented guy can turn any song into a unique visualization that you can display on a wall or give to someone as a gift.

“I’m a freelance designer, associate lecturer, and crowdfunding working remotely from my studio in Sheffield — or on-site for a range of clients and agencies,” we read on the artist’s website. ”I work independently, and sometimes collaborate with other creatives to roll-out graphic design and branding for education institutions, conferences, and festivals, music and arts organizations across the UK. Since late-2018 I’ve freelanced as a UI Designer.”

The song visualizations he creates come in thousands of colors and you can pick your favorite when you order form him. The ability to choose the song and the color of the poster means that your design will likely be unique, which is why something like this is perfect for a special gift.

Scroll down to see what songs look like according to Szabo-Haslam.

Watch how it works in the videos below. What do you think about Petrus’ invention?
