With winter’s arrival, you need to protect your hands from the cold and dry air that can damage your skin, especially your face and hands— which is why it’s very important to wear gloves. You can buy plain ones at any store, but if you want to look fashionable and appreciate hand-made stuff, you need to see Natalija Branceviciene’s work.
She is a talented embroidery designer from Vilnius, Lithuania, who has been creating embroidered gloves for the past seven years. Using colorful threads, Branceviciene embroiders enchanting landscapes, images of plants, flowers, butterflies, bees, and other animals.
As she explains in a post for Bored Panda, she often leaves her house to see blooming flowers, and when she gets back, she starts embroidering them.
“Sometimes, I create new glove designs very quickly—in a few days, while sometimes it takes weeks or even months. But it’s fun to know that my gloves will be a delight to others and lift their mood too,” the embroider said.
You can find her work on Instagram, but she also has an Etsy store where you can easily purchase her whimsical gloves. We chose some of our favorites, so feel free to check them out yourself!
