These Glass-Covered Homes Merge the Indoors and Outdoors

Alexander Nerovnya is a gifted architect from Russia who has been working on designing modern and brave designs using innovative materials. He’s well known for the homes that he creates out of glass, which are often located at the edge of a forest. They serve as a vacation destination for big families or groups of friends who want to spend some time away from the city noise.

He explained in an interview for Dwell that when creating his projects, he focuses a lot on the beauty and harmony of the building’s exterior and the main façade.

“By utilizing glass walls, we are able to visually erase the separation between the indoors and the outdoors. One of the beautiful effects of this approach is that throughout the day, the mood and feeling of the interior changes drastically due to a massive role of natural light penetrating through the glass,” he said.

By making houses made out of glass, and by putting them in a forest, you have an atmosphere that is both wild and comforting. It’s almost like a super-tent!
