This Artist Takes Old Useless Junk and Turns It into Awesome Art

Blake McFarland is an artist who specializes in using recycled and strange materials. His main goal is to transform everyday items into something never seen before, all while helping the environment. McFarland says that he is a mixed materials artist, ocean enthusiast and retired ballplayer. He has already shared a couple of his creations; he transformed a spoon into a palm tree, a coffee can into a hand saw and Ramen noodles into a Toy Story character. This time, the artist “turned trash into cash”.

“This is my first Axe Restoration experiment ever,” the artist shared on his YouTube channel. “I picked up this axe for $5 at the local flea market. I wanted to make something unique, so I decided to electro-etch a design in the axe head. I then went in with a rotary tool to bore out the etch even deeper and giving it a unique roughed up effect.”
