This Illustrator is Always Up for a Challenge

Romania-born, Spain-based illustrator Denisa Herman is known for her bright n’ popping illustrations, seemingly gleaming with happiness and vibrancy. Describing her work style as “fast and furious”, Herman is the kind of committed illustrator whose progress is a testimony that hard work does indeed pay off.

“My illustration career rocketed when I started doing 100DaysChallenges,” explains Herman. “Every day I would make an illustration for 100 days straight. I finished 3 challenges until now (check them out on Insta). In 2020 I challenged myself to create 300 illustrations covering themes such as sports, culture, society, news, health, and food.”

Known online as Yogatella, her name is a cross between Yoga and Nutella, explaining it as a “struggle between healthy habits and guilty addictions”. “I work like someone who loves what they are doing,” she writes on her website. “You contact me, we discuss, I fall in love with your project and you have high hopes that I am the right creator for the job. And then it’s up to me to stylishly surprise you.”

Recent projects include an homage to her favorite home plants and portraits that combine funky women with zest fruit. Basically, you’d want to follow her.
