Tiffanie Turner’s Paper Flowers Look So Good You Won’t Believe They’re Not Real

Paper art is a criminally underrated art form, and those who practice it constantly astonish us with their skill and attention to detail. Tiffanie Turner is one of the artists responsible for putting this art form on the map, and she specializes in making incredibly realistic paper flowers.

Turner was raised in the woods of New Hampshire, and she worked as an architect for 15 years before choosing to make a major career change. She decided to become a botanical sculptor instead, and went on to host many exhibitions, published a book, and even became an instructor of paper flower making since turning to paper art.

Turner’s source of inspiration was clear from the get-go. She has always been mesmerized by the beauty of nature, so flowers became the main motif in her work. She started working on incredibly realistic paper art, and some of the pieces took her between two to four months to complete due to their scope and size.

“I work with the rhythms and patterns found in nature, as well as the wonderful gestures formed by missteps and irregularities… I like to bring the smallest things we take for granted or that might go unnoticed, like the smallest florets of a flower, right to the viewer’s face,” explains Turner on her official website.
