TikTok Star Michelle Tiang is Capturing Culture Shock After Moving From Singapore to Canada

Many TikTokers found viral fame after moving away from home and capturing cultural differences in their hilarious videos. Michelle Tiang is one of them and she became an overnight sensation thanks to a series of funny clips that capture the difference between living in Singapore and Canada.

Many TikTokers sharing similar videos usually capture the shock of moving from America to Europe, but the change Tiang experienced is much more drastic. She moved from an eastern Asian country to a western one and faced quite a cultural shock because nothing sounded, looked, or tasted familiar.

After 13 years of living in Canada, Tiang finally managed to find some humor in the major differences between her home country and her new home. Many people who went through something similar found her TikTok posts hilarious, and she went on to build an impressive audience with 1.4 million followers.

She may be a star on TikTok, but that doesn’t mean Tiang will be quitting her day job anytime soon. She works as a skincare consultant for Rodan + Fields, and her videos are not all about the differences between Singapore and Canada. Tiang also enjoys posting content about family, travels, cooking, and taking part in many internet trends with her kids.
