Grandmas will often tell that they don’t play favorites and that they love their grandchildren all the same. Well, not Mary LaMorte. This New Jersey grandmother doesn’t hesitate to tell her grandkids who she loves the most.
Mary recently became viral thanks to a viral video posted on TikTok by her grandson and comedian Dan LaMorte. The clip shows a wooden board that grandma has on the wall and uses it to rank her grandchildren from 1 to 10. They can move up and down the board depending on how nice they are.
“I’m currently at No. 4, this is the highest I’ve been,” Dan says in the video.
However, Dan didn’t enjoy his position for long. He proceeded to show grandma his new tattoos and Mary didn’t have any chill. She immediately bumped him down to last place.
This amusing video became instantly popular, reaching more than two million views in a matter of weeks.

The video going viral didn’t only bring Dan some extra exposure for his TikTok account. He also manages to advance on Mary’s rankings.
“I’m now at No. 3 because Nanny is excited about being an internet star. She’s giving me credit for that,” Dan said in a chat with TODAY.
But despite making his grandma an internet sensation, Dan doesn’t have high hopes for getting any further. At No.1 is his cousin Jacqueline, who lives across the street and helps Mary out, while the No. 2 spot belongs to cousin Gianna, who is a veterinarian.
