TikToker Spends $8.5K on Veterinarian Bills Only to Find Out Her Cat is “Just a Bit Weird”

Learning that your pet might have some kind of health issue is a real scare for any pet owner. This is why TikTok user Abigail Laker didn’t hesitate to pay over $8.500 on veterinarian bills to get her beloved cat Moose better. But as it turned out, the feline didn’t need any medical care as she was “just a bit weird.”

Laker recently shared a video on her TikTok that saw Moose lying in her basket and breathing surprisingly fast.

“That time Moose cost me £7,000 in vets bills for the vet to finally diagnose that she’s ‘just a bit weird,’” she captioned the footage.

The clip quickly spread on social media, drawing 1.3 million views and numerous comments from users who had cats with “weird” diagnosis as well.

Laker later shared the full story with The Daily Mail, and it is quite an interesting one. As it turns out, she didn’t think that there was anything wrong with Moose at first and only made a visit to the veterinarian to get her spayed. However, the vet noticed that the cat had uncharacteristically fast breathing and believed it could be a sign of a health issue.

“I took her to the vet to get spayed, and the vet noticed that she would breathe fast, so they asked me if she usually did that as it could be something serious,” Laker shared.

What followed were months of examinations that led the animal experts to conclude there was nothing wrong with the feline. Instead, the panting was just part of her quirky personality.

‘It’s just typical dramatic Moose,” Laker concluded. “I have had her for seven months and so she is was coming out of kitten stage, we realized that it’s typical her and she has to be center of attention.”
