Pugs have to be among the friendliest dog species that we know about. They are quite affectionate and can get along with almost anyone. And as one recent viral TikTok video demonstrates, pugs will even befriend a statue under the right circumstances.
The clip, posted on @the_squish_biscuit TikTok profile, shows a pug Maggie enjoying the company of a statue that looks just like her. The two are lying beside a pool, soaking in the sunlight. When Maggie notices she is being filmed, she gets startled, like she was caught in some mischievous act. This makes the entire scene even more adorable.
Although the statue can’t return the affection Maggie has been giving it, the adorable pug doesn’t seem to mind as the two hang out quite often.
“I think she likes that spot in the yard because it gets the most sun until it sets,” said her owner Kamerin Bazemore in a chat with The Dodo. “Plus, she has a friend!”
Maggie has two siblings, Merlin and Willow, with whom she also likes to hang out, cuddle, and chase in the yard. However, the statue appears to be right there at the top of her favorites. It even attended Maggie’s recent birthday party.
