Travelers are Finding Viral Fame on TikTok After Calling Out Airbnb

Airbnb is one of the most popular websites offering lodging around the world, but using it to book accommodation for your trip has its ups and downs. Several TikToker recently found viral fame for pointing out the bad sides of their Airbnb bookings, starting with these three.

Jet Cessant

Airbnb owners can sometimes set a pretty strange set of rules for their guests, and no one knows this better than TikToker Jet Cessant. One of his videos received 1.2 million views after he shared a strange list of Airbnb rules, from being expected to clean and do all laundry before leaving to being filmed by the owners at all times.

@thefamousjet All those fees for so many rules. Its a scam! #airbnb #travel ♬ original sound – Jet

Wynton Yates

Wynton Yates went viral after sharing a strange Airbnb booking that he came across, listed as an “1830s slave cabin”. After his video received 2.6 million views on TikTok, Airbnb was quick to remove the booking and released a statement saying they’ll pull all listings that promote themselves in a similar manner.

Emma Watkins

British TikToker Emma Watkins had high hopes for her trip to Southern France, but her trip turned into a nightmare once she reached her Airbnb. She wasn’t informed that the balcony door was broken and couldn’t lock before coming to France, and she went through hell trying to solve this issue with the owner and Airbnb.
