It’s not uncommon to see people dressing their pets in adorable outfits. Most people do this with cats and dogs, but not Kasey Kuchinski and Daniel Rodriguez. This California couple put a twist on the pet-dressing game after welcoming their adorable turtle Ethel into their lives.
Ethel the Glamour Tort is an Instagram sensation with over 60,000 followers, who are constantly looking forward to her dress-up adventures. Some of the posts on her Instagram page show her living an ordinary tortoise life, but the ones that people love the most include adorable matching outfits.
Kuchinski discussed their viral photos with Bored Panda and said she feels that dressing Ethel up doesn’t feel any different than putting clothes on any other pet. It’s not necessary, but it’s funny and cute, and Ethel doesn’t actually wear clothes as often as people think.
Kuchinski says they usually take photos once every two weeks and Ethel rarely spends longer than 10 minutes wearing clothes. Even if they wanted to spend more time taking photos, Ethel wouldn’t comply because she loses interest very quickly and they even have to use snacks to trick her into taking photos in the first place.
