Two Friends Make Realistic-Looking Paper Sculptures You Will Love

Andrea Weber and Damoun Tamir are two friends who first met at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund. After receiving their Bachelor of Arts degree in Design, they decided they would conquer the tactile world, so they created a business named WRK. Inspired by everything and everybody, the duo explains that they create “colorful and boldly visual imagery for a variety of editorial and commercial projects.”

“We work offline, with our hands and minds. Digitalization is the last step in our work progress. We do not use a computer to accomplish a handcrafted look, we actually use our hands to create illustrations with all our senses. The result is something you can actually touch and feel,” the artists shared in an interview for Ballpit.

Browsing through their Instagram page, you will see sculptures made of paper, plasticine, food, metal, wood, stone, etc., that you could easily confuse with illustrations.
