Many cats with unique features found fame on Instagram over the years, but none of them compare to Venus the Two-Faced Cat. This adorable kitten became a true social media superstar thanks to her unique face that comes in two different colors.
If you’ve ever wondered what it would look like to get two cats in one body, Venus is the answer. Her face is half black and half red tabby, and even her eyes come in two different colors—one green and one blue—due to a special condition known as heterochromia.
Venus has often been described as the “chimera cat”, which would mean her cells contain two types of DNA. This, however, wasn’t confirmed through genetic testing, but this unusual kitten looks truly extraordinary either way.
Venus first went viral back in 2012, and she went on to become one of Instagram’s most popular pets, with two million followers and counting. She was adopted by a couple in North Carolina, but they’re no longer raising her alone, and she has great company in their other cats – Halo, Tater Tot, Roo, and Ginger.
