Moving to a new country is never easy. You always have to adjust to the fact that a lot of things are different than back home. Some of the differences can be quite surprising, as TikTok user Summer Fox discovered when moving from London, UK to Toronto, Canada.
Fox recently uploaded a video in which she detailed the differences between UK and Canada that surprised her the most. The clip quickly became viral thanks to the intriguing things she noticed and the energy with which she talked about them.
One of the things that baffled Fox was that you are not allowed to drink in public in Canada. It is illegal to drink alcohol in parks, on public transportation, or when walking down the road. This is all completely fine in London.
Also, Fox was shocked with how they don’t have a “take the piss” culture, which includes making fun of someone or annoying them in Canada. According to her, people in Canada are super nice and will always offer to help you instead of making fun of you.
Other things Fox notices are that people in Canada are “more festive/enthusiastic,” groceries are more expensive, and everyone seems to have a compost bin. Check out her full list in the video below.
