TikToker Gets Invited to a Wedding, Told She Has to Pay for Food and Drink

Most people want to have a grand wedding. It is their special day and it is understandable that they want to have memorable experience. However, this desire for a spectacular wedding can cause some questionable choices as a recent video from TikTok user @kellikeylimepie shows.

Kelli shared a clip on her social media to express her surprise about the rules of a wedding she was invited to recently. The organizers included some info about the wedding on the invite that you don’t see quite often.

For starters, the invite informs the guests that they are required to pay for their own meals. On top of that, the bride and groom say they will “appreciate” all gifts but would prefer to receive money.

“We get it, you blew all your $$$ on a wedding,” Kelli wrote on top of the video that shows the questionable invite.

The bride and groom’s behavior didn’t sit well with other social media users. Most of them were baffled with the requests, writing in the comments that couple should have had a smaller wedding of they didn’t have money to pay for everything. Others used the opportunity to make some fitting jokes.

“I swear some people get married thinking it’s a FUNDRAISER,” wrote one user.

A small portion of users was even okay with paying for their own meal but the money request was where they drew a line.

“I would be fine paying for my own meal if the invite said no gifts,” explained another user. “But to expect cash when guests are paying for themselves is absolutely ridiculous.”
