When it was first established back in 1932, Giraffe Manor was initially a giraffe sanctuary, but things changed in decades to come. It became a hotel during the ‘80s and it remains as popular to this day because it’s home to a group of endangered Rothschild giraffes.
Located in the Langata suburb of Nairobi, Giraffe Manor sits on 140 acres of indigenous forest and it offers 12 rooms to visitors. If you’re lucky enough to book one of them during your trip to Kenya, you’ll get to interact with giraffes every day—and you don’t even have to step outside to make it happen!
Giraffe Manor comes with large windows, so don’t be surprised if these gentle giants end up peeking inside while you’re enjoying your breakfast. They have a habit of stretching their long necks through the windows of the manor, allowing visitors to feed them with delicious snacks.
