We all remember the legendary scene from The Simpsons when Homer sacrifices his air condition money and buys his daughter Lisa her first saxophone. For many of us, it was the first time seeing such an instrument.

Nowadays, the sax is considered underrated but thanks to the Internet and social media, its popularity grows more and more every day. Recently, a young saxophonist became viral thanks to his remarkable talent.

Evan Jacobson is a talented musician who plays the saxophone. He became viral when he posted a video on his TikTok account adding sax solos to songs “that don’t need them”.

His first clip included the song titled Big Poppa performed by artist The Notorious BIG, and to this day, it has been seen by more than 6.6 million people. Jacobson continued his project and has published another clip that reached 1.5 million views in just two days.

You probably don’t know it, but the first saxophone was made in the 19th century by Belgian instrument maker Adolphe Sax. Since 1840, the instrument has been used in classical music, including concert bands, chamber music, orchestras, military bands, marching bands, jazz, and contemporary music.

Jacobson is holding down the legacy pretty damn well!
