2D-inspired designs that look straight out of a comic book aren’t a novelty in the home décor world and they’re now coming for the culinary scene. Yummy Bakes, a cake brand based in the United Arab Emirates, is putting beautifully crafted comic book-inspired 2D cakes on the map.
Yummy Bakes was founded by a mother and daughter duo, who specialize in creating yummy art and spreading joy. According to their official website, they pride themselves in offering freshly made goods using only the highest quality ingredients.
We’ve watched this creative duo craft all sorts of different cakes over time, mostly focusing on beloved cartoon characters. They recently took Instagram by storm with a series of cakes inspired by the viral “Little Miss” meme, but their 2D cakes that look like they’ve been stripped from the pages of a comic book are the ones that eventually caught our eye.
Yummy Bakes is now followed by over 130,000 people on Instagram, but they also have a physical location at Khalidiya, Abu Dhabi, so you can visit them if you ever find yourself in the UAE. In addition to crafting the most amazing desserts, they’re also encouraging other people to do the same by offering cookie decorating kits.
