Amazon Delivery Driver Helps Save Three Puppies From a Burning House

Amazon drivers are quite busy with delivering things we ordered online to our front door, but they still somehow find time for heroics. At least that’s the case with Florida-based Amazon delivery driver Angelina, who recently helped save three puppies from a burning house.

Angelina was recently doing her deliveries in Lake City, a city near Jacksonville, when she noticed smoke coming from one single-story home. She reacted quickly, calling 911 and urging someone to come down.

Luckily, firefighters quickly came to the scene and started dealing with the fire. One group of firefighters entered the home and found three puppies waiting to be rescued. The dogs had inhaled a lot of smoke by this point but were brought into the open in time, and successfully revived.

It turned out that Angelina’s quick reaction was crucial to saving both the puppies and the home, prompting the Columbia County Fire Rescue to give her a shout-out on social media.

The Amazon driver later received glowing praise from other social media users as well as from the homeowner Lauren Sutton.

“I am eternally grateful and will never be able to thank Angelina (the Amazon driver), the firefighters, and the sheriff’s deputies enough for saving my dogs’ lives,” said Sutton, who lives in the house with her seven-year-old daughter, in a chat with reporters. What a hero!
