Brazilian Artist Creates Complex and Colorful String Art

Brazilian artist Iram is one of those talented individuals that don’t need much to create astonishing art. Using only bundles of strings and nails, he creates colorful and complex patterns in the style of mandalas that have been captivating social media users for a while now.

According to his profile on the art platform Ronin, Iram actually started his artistic journey only a few years ago. Despite not having formal training or art education, he decided to give string art a try and hasn’t looked back since. His works have amassed him a following of almost 40K on Instagram and piqued the interest of art collectors.

Iram, who says he’s inspired by various abstract artists but has developed his own technique, puts a lot of effort into each work. He starts by outlining his idea via sketch done on paper. After he is satisfied with the result, he proceeds to bring it to life using strings.

“What motivates Iram to continue drawing and manipulating strings into meaningful masterpieces is seeing the results of his hard work and the smiles on people’s faces when they come across his collections,” his Ronin’s profile explains.

While a single piece can take a week to complete, the results are well worth the hard work. Continue scrolling to see why.
