Cafe in Germany Keeps Customers Apart With Pool Noodle Hats

Restaurants are slowly starting to open up their businesses and Germany is one of the European countries to ease restrictions. Germany has been able to slow down the virus and they’re continuing to remain cautious that a second wave doesn’t start.

With restaurants starting to open under certain restrictions, a cafe in Schwerin called Café Rothe Schwerin reopened by serving its customers outside. They made sure to place tables 1.5 m (4.9 feet) to keep distance between their customers.

The owner of the cafe, Jacqueline Rothe, took the extra step and came up with the creative idea to make sure customers keep their distance—pool noodles! The restaurant is attaching pool noodles to its customers’ hats to help them keep their social distances.

When Bored Panda reached out to Rothe, they said this was a one-time event just for the reopening of the cafe and that the guests won’t be regularly wearing the hats. Here’s to hoping this event continues because we love the amazing pictures!
