Company Produces Fire Extinguishers That Can Be Carried Like Shields

Czech Republic company Amplla wants to change the way we look at and use fire extinguishers. Their fire extinguisher models are not only efficient, but they also look visually appealing and can be worn as shields.

Amplla was established by architecture Premysl Kokes, who got the idea for these unusual fire extinguishers when he faced a fire while doing a reconstruction of an old castle. He realized that he had to make a significant effort to locate the fire extinguishers as they were well hidden because of their robust look.

The experience prompted Kokes to focus on fire safety for his buildings and also to come up with a new design for fire extinguishers. He wanted to make them more attractive, allowing them to be incorporated into the interior without compromising their primary intent.

Amplla currently produces three types of fire extinguishers. Their basic model is called Hussechuck and is described as a “well-known yet different fire extinguisher.” It has a similar look to a steering wheel and can be operated with one hand.

The Shield can be carried like a real shield and the designs are customizable. With the ability to give it a personal touch, it can also be a decorative piece.

Finally, Hydrant+ model presents the “evolutionary combination of hydrant and portable fire extinguisher.”
